Auschwitz Birkenau Concentration Camp was established in 1940 in the outskirts of town Oswiecim - a Polish town annexed to the Third Reich. Auschwitz become a symbol of genocide and the holocaust. More then a million people were killed in gas chambers or died of disease or exhaustion. Most of the prisoners were Jews. In 1947 Concentration Camp was turned into a Museum-Memorial. In 1979 was entered on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Salt Mine in Wieliczka, placed on Unesco heritage list is the oldest in the world where mining has functioned continuously from the medieval times. Its original excavations such as: chambers, lakes and minor and major shafts lie on nine levels and stretch for the total of about 300 kilometres. During your tour you will visit the salt mine from 64 to 135 metres below ground level.
